ABOUT US:
We are dedicated to supporting healthcare in the South Okanagan Similkameen
Helping our community live healthier, together
At the South Okanagan Similkameen Medical Foundation, we believe that access to quality healthcare should never be limited by geography.
That’s why we’re here, to support and strengthen hospital and healthcare services across the South Okanagan and Similkameen region, from Summerland to Princeton, Oliver to Osoyoos, and everywhere in between.
We raise funds to ensure our medical teams have the equipment, facilities, and support they need to care for every patient—whether it’s a premature newborn, someone facing a cancer diagnosis, or a senior in need of comfort and dignity. Behind every donation is a story, and behind every story is a life changed for the better.
Why We Exist
Philanthropy plays a vital role in helping us bridge the gap between essential government funding and helping deliver advanced medical care in the South Okanagan Similkameen. Your generosity helps us bring in the equipment, technology, and specialized programs to improve outcomes across our region for everyone.
Powered by Community
We are deeply rooted in the communities we serve, from Summerland to Princeton, Oliver to Osoyoos. Whether it’s a local fundraiser, a major campaign, or a monthly gift, every act of generosity matters. Our donors are families, retirees, businesses, volunteers and people who want to make a difference.
Trust & Impact
We believe in earning your trust every step of the way. Every donation is managed with care and directed to where it’s needed most, based on collaboration with hospital and healthcare leaders. We’re committed to transparency and measurable impact, ensuring your gift makes a real difference for patients and families in our region.
Our Mission & Vision
When you give your donation to the South Okanagan Similkameen (SOS) Medical Foundation, you are investing in better patient experiences.
Healthcare facilities throughout Keremeos, Oliver, Osoyoos, Penticton, Princeton and Summerland depend on all of us to support the care delivered in their communities. Thanks to you, the SOS Medical Foundation is able to respond to the greatest needs through purchasing medical equipment, funding programs, and enhancing the health care delivery infrastructure to elevate the patient experience.
